Ruth Thompson - Willow Artist & Craft Worker, Hexham, Northumberland, UK

Ruth Thompson has been making hurdles for about eight years. Beginning with Hazel rods, coppiced locally, Ruth then moved on to Willow which is easier to obtain and can be manipulated into a greater range of products. Ruth works near Corbridge in Northumberland and has begun developing new products using her own boiled (buff) and stripped (white) willow. Links of Interest
